Many people opened their Final Fantasy XIII game cases today to realize that there was a code for Final Fantasy XIV above the booklet. Today, the Playstation.Blog mentioned what this code is all about. “Players who purchase a copy of Final Fantasy XIII for PS3 will receive a Final Fantasy XIV secret in-game item and be able to enter for a potential opportunity to become a beta tester for Final Fantasy XIV for PS3.” So, there you have it, the code will net you an in-game Final Fantasy XIV item, and a chance to play the Final Fantasy XIV Beta on the Playstation 3.

Today is a great day for Final Fantasy fans, since Final Fantasy XIII releases today. This will also be the first Final Fantasy to come out on the same day in North America and in Europe. Some fans were able to pick up the game early, and for those who have I hope you are enjoying the game. For the rest, I hope you are able to get a copy tomorrow and enjoy a Tuesday of Final Fantasy gaming. It’s been a long journey, from the first trailer at E3 2006 to this day. Community Thread: FFXIII Releases Today in NA and EU
The closed Beta for Final Fantasy XIV will begin March 11th. If you aren’t picked to partake in the closed Beta, then there will be more chances to get into it. Square-Enix stated that, “Those who were not selected in this drawing, fear not, for there will be other opportunities to come.” So be on the look out in the coming months, because you might be able to enter the world of Eorzea.
