The only weapons shown so far for Final Fantasy XIV are the weapons a character can use once they choose a job. A fighter can use a sword, and a sorcerer can use a staff for magic. A crafter has a hammer, and a gatherer has a hatchet, but it is unknown whether those will be weapons that can be used against enemies.
