The world of Final Fantasy XIII is named Pulse. The land is vast and because of it's large size the enemies are also large in size. There are also humans that live on Pulse, and they go against the humans who live on Cocoon. Cocoon is a shell like city that floats above Pulse, and it is known as a paradise for humanity. It was constructed by the fal'Cie who are known as the ultimate gods by human beings.
