Weapons

Lightning's gun-blade can transform from a sword to a gun in mid battle, and it's entirely up to the player which version they want to use. Each version of her weapon has its own skills and attacks, which is a great feature to have since some enemies might take more damage from a gun attack over a sword attack or vice versa, or when a battle changes from close combat to expanded ranges. Oerba uses a fishing rod like weapon that attaches to her waist, looks like deer antlers, and fires four metal wires with needles on the end to drag an enemy closer to deal damage. Snow uses a pistol, Sazh has a gun, and Hope has dual boomerangs which can deal chain damage.
