The very first trailer of Final Fantasy XIII starts off by showing a train that gets derailed that has prisoners inside. Then, Lightning is shown attacking the PSICOM soldiers inside which are the ones who are holding the prisoners captive. Target gameplay footage is then shown of Lightning attacking PSICOM soldiers and dog-like enemies with acrobatic ways and with magic. The trailer transitions to a lush environment filled with green foilage that Lightning walks through. The end shows a boss with saws attached to it's body, and Lightning gets her sword ready to attack it.
