Characters

Lightning

Lightning is the main character in Final Fantasy XIII. Her desription is that she has strawberry blond hair and is said to have a cold personality. She is known to have been previously associated with the Cocoon military, PSICOM. Her weapon is a combination of a gun and a sword, and she can also manipulate gravity with a device on her thumb.

Snow Villiers

Snow helps out Lightning close to the beginning of the game. It has been stated that he is the leader of Team Nora, who are a resistance group that goes against Cocoon. In a trailer shown in 2008, Snow was shown summoning Shiva, a summon that has been in previous Final Fantasy games. Details about his apperance is that he is tall and capable of carrying two people while running, which means he is very strong. He also has a tattoo on his left forearm which holds some kind of power.

Oerba Dia Vanille

Oerba is a red haired female who is widely known for her pigtails. She carries a weapon that resembles that of a bow in real life. Her personality is that of an optimistic person, who carries a heavy burden in her heart. Trailers have shown her looking off into a vista; being captured by a Cocoon army; and walking in a funeral procession.

Sazh Katzroy

Sazh was first revealed in V-Jump magazine. He is described as a middle aged man with an afro that a chocobo resides in. He has good judgment, moral discernment, and one who is easily moved to tears. This character helps out Lightning, and he makes an appearance in the very beginning of the game. It is said that he was in the Cocoon military, PSICOM, along with Lightning. His weapons consist of two pistols that he dual wields.

Team Nora

Team Nora is the resistance group that is lead by Snow Villiers. Gadot, Lebreau, Maqui, and Yuge form the team with Snow. Gadot is a man with orange hair and dark olive skin. Lebreau is a black haired woman who has a butterfly tattoo on her shoulder. Maqui is a young man who wears goggles. Yuge has blue hair and feathers that decorate his clothing. Gadot and Lebreau are said to be childhood friends of Snow.

Hope Estheium

Hope is one of the few that were banished from Cocoon to Pulse. He is the youngest of the characters in Final Fantasy XIII, since he is only 14 years old. He has silver hair, and has a hatred for Snow, because his mother fought alongside Snow to protect Hope and died in battle.

Yaag Rosch

Yaag is a silver haired man that was revealed in the E3 2009 trailer, and he is a lieutenant of colonel rank. He is described as being the rival of Lightning and the other main characters, and wants peace for Cocoon's citizens.

Jihl Nabaat

Jihl is a long haired female who was revealed in the E3 2009 trailer, and she is a Lieutenant Colonel in the holy government. It is also confirmed that she is the nemesis in the game.

Dajh Katzroy

Dajh is the son of Sazh Katzroy. His mother died when he was three. The baby Chocobo that rides around in Sazh's afro actually belongs to Dajh, who bought the little chocobo at a gift shop during their travels together.

Serah Farron

Serah is Lightning's younger sister. She is a headstrong girl who believes in solving her own problems and not getting other people involved. She is always very concerned for her elder sister. She wears a necklace on her chest, a present from Snow. Lightning does not approve of her engagement with Snow. Like her sister, she is a L'Cie and is marked with a tattoo of two red spheres on her left arm.

Oerba Yun Fang

Fang is a l'Cie who is working with the Sanctum military.

Captain Rygdea

A captain of Sanctum under Cid's command, he is an ally to Lightning and her party.

Galenth Dysley

The leader of the Sanctum.

Cid Raines

A Brigadier in Sanctum, he calls himself the enemy of the fal'Cie.
