The second next generation Final Fantasy to hit the Playstation 3 will be Final Fantasy Versus XIII. As with FFXIII to power this game Square-Enix created an engine named Crystal Tools, which was formally known as the White Engine. Speculation had ran rampant when Square-Enix registered the Unreal Engine 3, because it was thought that Final Fantasy Versus XIII would be created with it; however Square-Enix assured fans that Final Fantasy Versus XIII will use Crystal Tools after that rumor surfaced. SE is being secretive about the release date of this game as well, and all anyone knows is that it will release after Final Fantasy XIII. Final Fantasy will remain a Playstation franchise with Final Fantasy Versus XIII being a Playstation 3 exclusive.
