Battle System, Jump Festa 2009

A new, 7-minute long Final Fantasy XIII trailer has been shown behind closed doors at Jump Festa 2009. The battle system was displayed for the first time and has been described by attendants as "seamless" and "incredibly fast". Though we don't yet know how it works, Square Enix have released half a dozen images of the system in action. A scan from the most recent Shonen Jump has appeared online which reveals the first official pictures of the Final Fantasy XIII battle system. We see Lightning facing off against the mechanical creature from the first trailer, with a battle menu displayed on the bottom of the screen. Little information has been revealed about the system. The scan also reveals the name of Pigtails Girl as Wolva-Daia Vanilla. "Wolva-Daia" appears to be her title, similar to the term "Maester" from Final Fantasy...
